What an exciting day this is! My book Raising Kids with Love, Honor and Respect; Recipes for Success is available. I hope it will be of help to many of you as you interact with and enjoy children. It can be ordered by going to www.inkwaterbooks.com and in about a week on Amazon. Those living in Central Oregon who would like to get it directly from me, please email me at email@example.com. I hope to hear from many of you.
I was visiting with a friend who immediately said she'd like 4 copies of my book! Sight unseen, without seeing the cover, without knowing the cost. What a very nice friend. It made me realize that people are hungry for ideas to help them raise their children in positive ways. Not that there aren't hundreds of very good parenting books available (I have quoted from many of them in my book). However, the job of raising children is so complex, so demanding, and sometimes so puzzling, it's hard to find the right combination of "tools" that work for each one. That is why I wrote Raising Kids with Love, Honor and Respect; Recipes for Success. I truly believe that if we always remember to regard our kids with unconditional love, honoring them as an individual and treating them with respect we won't go too far wrong. I hope my book will help parents know how to do that.
It's hard to describe the excitement of knowing my book Raising Kids with Love, Honor and Respect; Recipes for Success will soon be published and available for parents or anyone involved with helping children grow up. If it can be of help to just one parent I will have achieved my goal. When it comes out, I hope readers will let me know what was helpful and why. Though published, it is still a work in progress as I continue my journey of learning what works and what doesn't. Every child is different and every parent and teacher approaches their time with a child uniquely, all which makes the job of parenting that much more interesting. I look forward to hearing how others put the ideas of raising kids with love, honor and respect into operation. Please, let me know.
